New Reservation System

Part of the off season is all about making things better and more efficient for us at the Inn and for those of you that are booking rooms. We have just switched to a new booking system which gives us greater flexibility in how reservations are made and how we communicate with you before, during and after your stay.

We are very excited about this change, but like all technologies, we are sure to run into some growing pains. So, if you are trying to book a room and are having difficulties with the new booking engine, please reach out to us via email and we will set up a time to sort things out.

2023 Marathon is On!! -- APPARENTLY NOT

This is an update to our previous note. It appears now that the Marathon is no longer on for 2023. However, we are banding together with several other businesses to create our own little fun run event. We will be offering up a 3 day discounted package (Friday - Sunday) that will include a Lobster boil, an outdoor Pizza and Beer party, a Fun Run 10K and some other exciting things….

Keep an eye on this space for more details. We hope that you will still be able to make it and help all of the Lubec Businesses kick off the season after a long and cold winter. The Marathon weekend has traditionally been a very important ‘jump start’ for everyone so this will be our attempt to help out until everything is back on track.

It looks like the International Marathon is back on for next year. Rooms are available for the race weekend from Friday through Sunday. Those specific 3 days must be rented for the event. Over the years we have discovered that requiring 3 days works best for the runners and for us. Should you have any questions please send us a note. The rooms are currently booking out quickly, so don’t wait too long to book.

Closed for the Winter

The pub and Inn are now both closed for the season. We will be reopening in the May/June timeframe. Thank you all for making this another great summer season in Lubec.

Closing for the Winter

Well, spring and summer have come and gone and now we have officially entered Fall. Our last day for the 22’. Season will be Monday October 10th. For our final 3 weekends, we have also adjusted our hours slightly to reflect both staffing and business volume. Starting Friday 9/23 we will open at 5:00 and close at 8:00, kitchen closes at 7:45. These will be our hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) for the final 3 weekends that we are open. Thank you all for helping us to make season 17 a success.

Closing Early Monday, September 19th

We will be closing early on Monday at 6:45 for a private event. Please plan accordingly. Opening is the normal 4:00.

Updated Fall Hours and last day of the season

Its that time of the year where life in Lubec begins to slow down and the rhythms of fall replace the chaos of summer. We have opted to reduce our hours for the remainder of the season to Friday - Monday, 4:00 to 8:00. Vinyl night was a huge success and a great deal of fun, but we will have to wait until next year to spin any more records. Thanks to all those that came out and made it a fun and enjoyable evening.

The last day for this year will Monday October 10th. We will keep the rooms open through the end of October should you be looking to stay at the Inn. As always, please email any questions you might have and we will get back to you right away.

July & August Vinyl Night

Beginning July 7th we will start opening on Thursdays for something a bit different. We will serve up beer, wine and cocktails along with a selection of desserts and a charcuterie board for a more relaxed experience. Come in, listen to some good music and enjoy the beautiful views. If you have an album you would like to listen to, please bring it on in and we will do our best to get it on the turntable.

Memorial Day Opening

Opening up for the 17th year, this Memorial Day weekend. Hours will be Friday to Monday, 4:00 to 8:00. Starting the following week, we will be open Friday to Monday, 4:00 to 8:00.

We are busy getting the menu set for the weekend, but one thing is certain, their will be aged Ribeye steaks on the menu to start until we run out…. Get em while you can.

Bitcoin Payments Accepted

This year we will be accepting payments via the Lightning network for those that wish to do so. In order to help incentivise customers to pay this way, each time you pay us over the lighting network, you will get one entry into a drawing for a $250 gift card. Each and every time you pay this way, you will be entered into the drawing.

For those of you that know what this is, you will be able to use any lightning compatible wallet to complete your transaction. This will be available for both lodging and for inside the pub. All you will have to do is tell us at checkout that this is how you want to pay.

Currently we are charged approximately 3% for every credit card transaction. One the last 5 years, our transactions are almost 90% credit card. This 3% represents a sizable amount of revenue that we loose each year just providing you a service. Paying over lightning is virtually free to both the customer and the business. Right now, the easiest way to get started is to download a wallet from Strike, fund it with some cash and then you are all set to make payments this way.

Summer of 2022

As spring finally begins to show itself up here in Lubec, we are ready to begin finalizing our plans for this upcoming summer season. Starting mid May, rooms are available to rent. Just like last year, we will no longer be supporting Booking.Com due to their negative policies towards small business. Please using the booking link on this site to book directly, or send us an email and we will set up a call to get your room reservation taken care of.

As everyone undoubtedly knows, staffing continues to be an issue everywhere throughout the country and especially up here in rural Maine. We are hoping that by the time we open, we will be fully staffed but as of now we are still missing some key positions. So, we will start the pub slowly, opening May 27th from 4:00 to 8:00. Our goal is to eventually be open 5 days a week, Thursday through Monday, but we will have to remain flexible until we finalize our staffing situation and start off with 4 days, Friday - Monday
